About the Workplace

Västerängsskolan is a F-9 school located centrally in Bålsta.

The school is surrounded by forests and beautiful outdoor areas with plenty of space for play and outdoor activities. The school is within walking distance to both commuter trains, swimming pools, and ice rinks. Västerängsskolan accommodates students from preschool class to grade 9, as well as after-school activities. There are two classes per grade from preschool to grade 9.

The school is characterized by a relational approach where safety, well-being, and an accessible learning environment are in focus. All students should have the opportunity to develop based on their conditions and needs. The school operates under a school-wide program aimed at promoting an inclusive school through positive learning support for all (IBIS - inclusive behavioral support in schools).

Your Responsibilities

The position is a part-time role and includes 80% music teaching. As a music teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating music education for grades 1–9. An important part of the role is to contribute to and maintain the school's traditions such as school graduations and other joint events in close collaboration with class teachers and work teams.

Are you a qualified music teacher, in training, or a person who is passionate about music and teaching children and young people? Then you might be the right person for us!
